Pigs and Pineapples
Set a group of young women like Esther of Tanzania, whose investment in pigs and pineapples was chronicled by Caroline Daniels in Monday’s Financial Times, on the path to economic independence and success. A donation of $4,000 will support 25 young women with business and financial skills training, start-up grants to establish their own enterprises, and on-going mentoring from a seasoned businesswoman in their community. These business mentors, who play a vital role in ensuring young entrepreneurs have the support they need to succeed, will also receive a bicycle as a result of your investment so that they can better reach out to young women in their rural communities.
